Description
A cyclic lactam-bridged heptapeptide analog of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, structurally derived from melanotan II by replacement of the C-terminal amide with a free carboxyl group. Used in vitro as a reference compound in melanocortin MC3R and MC4R receptor binding and signaling assays in transfected cell-line model systems. Supplied as a lyophilized acetate salt.
Storage and stability
Store lyophilized powder at −20 °C, desiccated and protected from light. Stable for 24 months.
